Our churches and their congregations have strong links to the community. There are two care homes for the elderly in Shiplake where church members regularly visit. There is also an old persons’ support group called the Rosemary Club, meeting fortnightly, which was started by members of the Shiplake congregation and is still run by Church members.

The Shiplake Village Community Club includes community activities such as walking, gardening, art history, local history, book club, painting and bridge.
The Shiplake bell ringers reach out to many different people through their training courses and have members covering all age ranges. There is also a branch of the Women’s Institute in each village.
