God’s message is for today.
To know where we’re going, we have to know where we’ve been. For generations Christians have worshipped God, sought to be his disciples, and shared his message of unconditional love and acceptance. The Bible shares the voices of many who have come before us, inspired by God to pass along their poems, stories, accounts, and letters of their relationship with each other and the living God.
But God’s message is for today and beyond. Being on a journey of faith means living out the teachings and message of Jesus in our communities, along-side our friends, neighbours and work colleagues. To do this we need to support and encourage one another to find new ways of allowing God’s word and the Holy Spirit to be at work in and through us.
