rev'd michael forrerMichael joined the benefice team in 2013 after 12 years as Associate Vicar in St Andrew's, Sonning. Prior to that he helped out in the Salisbury Diocese based in Marlborough.

Michael and Ying, having married in China, in 1997, returned to the UK in 1998 from Bangkok, Thailand, where Michael had been an associate priest on the staff of Christ Church, while having been involved in management consultancy in the secular world for the previous 30 years as a worker priest.

He was ordained in 1960 in Coventry Cathedral by his godfather who was bishop at that time. 3 years later, he was invited to join the Cathedral staff as an industrial Chaplin and a full time member of the oecumenical industrial mission team, representing all denominations from Roman Catholic to Lutheran. He was 8 years on the cathedral staff.

As a result of his secular experience, he is a specialist in Change Management and also helping organisation to be customer driven.

Michael and Ying have three boys, Timothy, Mark and David. They live in Woodley where Michael is also an elected local councillor.
