Churchwardens

Churchwarden, St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Shiplake - position vacant.

Valerie Nicholson - Churchwarden, St Margaret of Antioch Church, Harpsden

I have worshipped at St. Margaret’s for many years and seen my daughter confirmed and married and my three grandchildren baptised there.

I trained as a secretary, working in London, Vancouver and Toronto and although I enjoyed living abroad there is no place like home!

I owned my own business, a ladies wear boutique in Henley for a few years.

Interests included gaining a Private Pilot’s Licence but now back to earth playing Bridge, reading, Sudoku and walking my much loved dog Misty.

Apart from my support to my church I just love spending time with my wonderful family.

I joined the RAF on leaving school and married when I was 20. Two marriages produced two daughters and one son, and now the family has grown to become five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The last 25 years of my working life were spent as School Secretary at Shiplake College. My interests include supporting the church, my family, running the Shiplake and Dunsden RBL branch, reading, crossword puzzles and keeping fit.
